ROB HILL VS BERNARDO TREKKO (LIGHT WEIGHT TITLE FIGHT)

Cage Fighting Championship is proud to announce the first show for 2009 C.F.C 7 Battle at the Big Top, to take place February 20th at the Big Top Stadium Luna Park. Once again Sydney comes alive with the best local and international MMA action including the final of the Lightweight title championship to be decided between Bernardo Trekko and Rob Hill.
Bernardo Trekko and Rob Hill booked their place in the Final for the Cage Fighting Championship Lightweight Title after winning their eliminator rounds by decision; it’s a classic striker Vs grappler match. Bernardo, undefeated in his mixed martial arts career including his 4 appearances in CFC, skillfully defeating all opponents with his Brazilian jiu jitsu. Rob Hill was unsuccessful on his CFC debut but was given a wildcard entry into the four man eliminator after defeating Irishman Denis Kelly in CFC 5 and proved his place with a decisive win over Ian Schaffa.
Hector Lombard returns to fight Hawaii’s top ranked middleweight Ron Verdadero. Lombard has proved unstoppable as the middleweight champion defending his title twice in devastating form not allowing any opponent to take his belt and that’s exactly what Hawaiian tough man Verdadero is planning, he is called the workhorse. He works the whole fight and is a very hard guy to finish he has good submission defense and a wicked body shot.
Undercard lineup includes: Adrian ‘The Hunter’ Pang, Kian ‘Karnage’ Pham, Jai Bradney, Jon Leven and more, with shows recently aired on Fox sports and Fuel TV, CFC has again raised the bar in Australian MMA.
