Richard Walsh V Robert Whittaker
Richard Walsh dominated proceedings in the first round with good takedowns and striking but couldn’t overpower Robert Whittaker. The second round saw Whittaker grow with confidence and showed good Brazilian Jai Jitsu and late in the second round worked from his open guard to a full mount and finished the fight with a Rear Naked Choke. Winner Robert Whittaker.
Pete Brown V Michael van der Vlist
Michael van der Vlist showed how his training has paid off with a dominating performance against a much taller opponent Pete Brown. Van der Vlist kept his distance with an array of good leg kicks, spinning kicks, head kicks. Michael then moved in for his attack with a big over hand right to finish the fight. Winner Michael van der Vlist.
Ashley Powell V Hugh Cameron
Hugh Cameron beat Ashley Powell in a Unanimous Decision in round 3. The fight was mainly Jui Jitsu based and didn’t really reach great heights. Winner Hugh Cameron
Willie Moon V Lucas ‘Big Daddy’ Brown
Lucas ‘Big Daddy’ Brown absolutely destroyed Willie Moon in what almost a record CFC time of 13 seconds with one punch. Lucas Brown is now undefeated and should dominate the Heavyweight division and will do for some time. Winner Lucas Brown.
Mario Yokoyama V Robert Lisita
Mario Yokoyama showed his superior Brazilian Jai Jitsu to win in round one with a Guillotine Choke. Mario didn’t look to comfortable on his feet but as the fight went to ground he was clearly in his domain and won the fight easily. Winner Mario Yokoyama.
Jade Jordan V Matt Cain
Great fight of the night with both fighters showing a lot of heart, especially Jade Jordan who was dominated from the start of the fight until the end but never gave up and fought his way through as he always seems to do. Matt Cain was superior in his striking and on the ground but couldn’t finish and the fight had to go to a decision. Winner Matt Cain.
Dylan Andrews V Jeff King
The last fight for Jeff King was against Lucas Brown in the CFC Heavyweight division. This fight against Dylan Andrews was a middle weight match. Dylan Andrews shows that he is the dominant fighter in the 84kg group winning with 2 seconds to go in the 1st round with a Guillotine Choke. Both fighters had their chances to win but Dylan was too superior in the end. Winner Dylan Andrews.
Kalib Starnes V Hector Lombard
Hector Lombard won the Middleweight World Title fight in 1 minute 55 seconds with a Verbal Tap. Hector did everything he could and dominated Kalib Starnes from the start. Kalib Starnes was again disappointing and verbally tapped after a barrage of elbows from Lombard. Lombard showed why he is potentially one of the best fighters in the world at Middleweight and is one of Australia’s top prospects. Winner Hector Lombard
